Hair brushing!

I looked over tonight and saw Axl "brushing" his hair. So cute.

Thanksgiving

We were 99.9 percent successful at NOT taking pictures at the Thanksgiving celebrations this year. For the record- the food was delicious, the company was wonderful, and we got a good Christmas card photo out of the deal...courtesy of Catherine. :) We celebrated with the Cooper family on the Saturday before Thanksgiving and the Hamilton family on the Wednesday before.

the only picture we actually took...at the Hamiltons'...jammin' on the keyboard.

Date Confusion

Because the date I gave them didn't quite match up with the date they came up with from the first ultrasound, they decided to give me one at about 14 weeks to double-check the due date. It ended up matching up quite closely with the original date they thought, so we're still going with May 27th. Here are the pics :)
waving hello
legs crossed-we have ultrasound pics of Axl doing the same thing
it's too early to determine the sex, but the ultrasound tech said if she had to make a guess she would say girl...both of us still think it's a boy-especially after the ultrasound because I think I saw the business!

Big News!

We thought Axl was so cute we might as well have another!

This ultrasound was toward the beginning of October and, of course,
looks absolutely nothing like a baby

I'm now about 12 weeks pregnant and heard the heartbeat at the doctor's office today! We're extremely excited and like I said, if this baby is anything like Axl, we'll be in heaven!

I actually took a positive test on September 9th and the story is funny enough that I want to record it so I won't forget. The night of the 8th I sent a text to Tyler when I was going to bed telling him I thought he should pick up a test on the way home because I was really feeling some symptoms. Tyler is SO anti-test (mostly because he's pretty tight--I married my dad!) that he didn't respond and didn't ever even address the subject when he got home or the next day. So, when I woke up with that undeniable taste in my mouth I decided I would have to get one myself. My alarm goes off at about 5:15 every morning to get ready so I went into super-fast mode in order to stop at Wal-Mart on the way to school. Of course as I was about to leave, I couldn't find my wallet, so I ended up leaving the house at the same time I usually do when I finally found it, but decided it was important enough that I risk being late and just try to hurry. So I literally run in Wal-Mart, run to the pharmacy, grab the tests, run to the soda cooler to pick up a drink and decide I should bring one for my friend as well, and then run to the 1 out of 25 registers open at Nicholasville Wal-Mart at 6:45 in the morning to find a white-haired, elderly man waiting to help me. I awkwardly place the 3-pack (I atleast try to find a good deal--and what if it were positive?? I'd need to double-check atleast!) of tests and two Diet Cokes on the belt. He says, "Looks like someone is in a hurry!" and I reply, "Late again". It wasn't until I was walking to the car that I realized exactly how embarrassed I should be!

Anyway, I took the test in the elementary school bathroom...classy, I know, but I'm a very impatient person! It almost killed me to not call Tyler and tell him but he came home that night to find the "office" we were trying to put together in the house empty except for one plastic tub labeled, "Newborn Stuff". His reply, similar to when I told him about Axl's pregnancy, was "For real?"

And, just for the record, he's still mad I didn't buy the tests at the Dollar Store.

Hey, It's Mario!

Just for fun, to start I'll share the bulletin board I made for Ms. Brakebill's class . The center says, "Look what we were caught doing!" and each of the pictures shows one of my students participating in a daily activity. I had a lot of fun putting it together and I think it turned out pretty cute!

Our first Halloween activity was the "Trunk or Treat" at church. Axl and I attended as Mario and Luigi. I took NO pictures, but have a couple of ADORABLE videos of Axl handing out candy on the other computer that I'll upload later.

The next night was Halloween and we started off at the Hamilton's for Cindy's donuts (YUM!). That night, Tyler was Luigi and Axl, Mario, and I just we as myself. :)

The whole group...Asha, Gabi, Elena, Minx, Axl, and Sara

After donuts, we headed to Paris and spent the evening trick or treating with Granny, Papaw, David, Paula, Madison, and Tripp.
