January

"I'm the Holy Ghost and I boo you!" ...I think he's a bit confused...

When I stopped what I was doing to blow up Axl's balloon he went over to the wall and informed me that I could "move back up to yellow"

April

We are watching "Meet the Robinsons". I just looked over at Axl and he was crying. Real tears. I asked him what was wrong and he said the movie made him sad. It was the part where the little boy messes up his adoption interview. I then started crying. How do kids learn empathy like that??? I love this boy.

After Axl followed me around with the camera for about 20 minutes asking over and over to "cheese my belly button" and I repeated "no" about 20 times I decided to just shut him up. He gets his camera ready, I lift my shirt a bit and he says, "ooh, it's SO grumpy!"  Thanks, Axl.

Axl went to bed with a belly ache. I just went in to check on him, got him some water, and as I was leaving--
Axl- mom, I'm feeling better
Me-oh, I'm so glad
Axl-yeah. Well, it still a little bit hurts. A little hurt. Like a mouse.

August

When I worked for quite some time hanging up the curtains, the kids were just playing and watching TV.  As I finished with one, Axl looked up at me and said, "Wow, mom.  Nice windows."

We were searching the house for Axl's beloved blue blanket.  "Ugh.  I just had it a hundred years ago."  He has said this before. :)

When Coop brought some play kitchen pieces to Alexa upset that they were colored on, Alexa told her the gym ghost did it. She replied, very exasperated, "oh my goodness, the Holy Ghost colored on the toys!"

I'm sitting on the couch nursing Naomi and Cooper comes up and says, "here's your iPad,mom" whilst holding out my breast pad...I wish that was an iPad, Coop, I wish.

Naomi's 6 month stats

Weight: 15 pounds = 45th %
Height: 25 inches = 25th %
Head Circumference: 44 cm = 88th %

She's just our 15 lb, big-brained, little shorty! :)

Naomi's 4 month stats

Naomi had her 4 month well baby today. 

Weight: 13 lb 5 oz = 95th %...I think they may have calculated this wrong
Height: 25 in = 75th %
HC 42.7 cm = 77th %

Poor girl had to get 4 shots!  Cooper was upset because she had just dropped her sucker accidentally in the trash.  I put her up on the table and asked her to help me with Yomi while she got her shots.  The nurse got out the needles and it was so precious how scared Cooper was for the baby.  You would have thought she was the one getting the shots with the anxiety pouring out of her!  She was a good helper, though, and rubbed her head.  She even asked the mom of the year where her yummy was...yes I forgot to give Naomi her pacifier while getting shot in the leg with huge needles four times.  Good thing she has a great mother in Coop.  :)
