Axl says all the time "It's gonk in here." (dark)
A couple days ago while wrestling with Dad, Axl covered Tyler's mouth and said, "Shut up now!" Tyler and I looked at each other with the widest eyes and then attacked him with "We do NOT say that!"
After speaking with Natalee about the recent vocabulary, she relayed a story about driving in the car. She was on the phone and doing her best to ignore Axl asking repeatedly, "Going to Nat's House, Nat??" He then finally got frustrated, I guess, and said, "Shut up, Nat, we going to Nat's house?".
The other night my parents were over and my mom was helping me get the kids to bed. When tucking Axl in I told him I loved him. He said back,
"I love you, too, mom." which is the usual. He then told me to wait and said,
"I love you more". We haven't really ever used that terminology so I thought it was cute and said, "No, I love you more!" He replied,
"Mommy, I love you most." Seriously? How cute is that.
Axl has never been a "namer" of things. Thus we have bunny bear. He wouldn't really even name a fish we got for him, so Tyler ended up naming it Stan. The other night when putting him to bed he held up the giant carrot we got him from IKEA. He says, "Mom, This is Turdy. Turdy has eyes." Tyler and I have laughed and laughed at the fact that the first thing Axl decides to name, he graces with "Turdy".
Cooper has heard a lot of us talking to Axl about how he is a boy and mommy is a girl and daddy is a boy and cooper is a girl, etc. etc. (All due to the fact that I told Axl a long time ago that princess dresses were for girls and he couldn't really handle that. Another story.) Anyway, Cooper looked at Tyler today, pointed at him and yelled, "BOY!"
