One weekend in May, we went to Tar Fork with several couples. We had a really great time riding four wheelers, shooting guns, playing cards, and watching movies! Those that came with us were Natalie and Rob Call, Trent and Shannon Hicks, Ian and Leighann Mogenhan, and Kate and Luke Darby.

Bacon, Crispy, and Extra Crispy
It sure feels like I should be getting close to the present day...but I think I have quite a bit left...This is making me think about several things. 1. Despite the massive amount, we haven't taken enough pictures since we got married. 2. I have no pictures nor record of the day we found out we were pregnant. and 3. I have a LOT of scrapbooking to do.
Which brings us to the third. Extra Crispy--as Tyler named him. One afternoon Tyler called me with much frustration in his voice telling me he had something for me that he was bringing home. In the background I heard a little kitty screech. He had run over this kitten's mother (obviously he doesn't have much luck with automobiles) and felt obligated, although very perturbed, to bring him home. I found out quick that this kitty was INFESTED with fleas so I spent a few days taking care of that, and also trying to get this little kitty to eat. After about 2 weeks, we came home to his box on the porch turned over. (excuse the graphic nature of this story) There was blood smeared all over the porch and dripped and sprayed everywhere...on the door, on the crate. It was absolutely terrible. The only sign left of the kitty was a little hair. We think it was an owl.
Now it is time to talk about our cats. Most of you know that we haven't had very much luck. I am really NOT a cat person, but when we moved into the trailer and realized we were having a mouse issue, I thought it would be a good idea to have an outdoor cat. I finally talked Tyler into it and went to adopt a cat. I found an adorable kitten and brought him home that day to find a message on my answering machine from my sister-in-law, Brooke. A tiny kitten had wandered into her yard and she had saved it for me. So in one day, we went from having no cats, to two kittens, one needing to be bottle fed. We named the one I adopted Bacon, and the tiny black kitty Tyler named Crispy.
Bacon is the cat that survived the longest and was my personal favorite. He was with us for about 6 months before we came home from a babysitting job really late to find that he had been hit by a car on Brannon Road. He loved to sit at the window and help me do the dishes, jump up and hang on the door, and sit with you just like a lap dog.
Crispy suffered a much faster demise after two weeks of life with me as his mom, bottle feeding him and just taking care of him in general. We left the trailer with him out of his box and on the porch attempting to see if he could stay on the porch long enough for us to go reminisce at the Sugar Pond at the back of the farm. Apparently he figured out how to get down, made it to Tyler's car and got behind the front wheel before we even made it to the car. After the special time we had at the pond we only came back to the trailer to find him lying in our headlights. :(

Anyway...we will NOT be getting any more cats!

Introductions Continued
Here we go again..I know these pictures are fairly boring, but I'm having fun sifting through them :)
It seems like we celebrated Christmas for an entire month! This is a picture taken at Tyler's work Christmas party for Dan's.
During University of Kentucky's Spring Break, the Hamiltons travel to Park City, Utah to ski and spend time with family. This was my first trip and we had a blast!
While in Utah, we were able to go to the Salt Lake Temple for a session with good friends Luke and Katherine, and Young Fonua
And this is me and Rock at the Halloween Trunk or Treat. Here's a quick story--I know I haven't gotten to the part about us actually having a baby, but excuse the time lapse. The other night, we were over at the Hamilton's for their last movie night before leaving for their mission and Axl had one of his "projectile vomit" episodes. For those who haven't seen this wonder, it can be quite unsettling. Anyway...as you can imagine, Tyler and I get worried when it happens, but I have spoken with the doctor and everything seems to be ok. Anyway--Rockwell obviously picked up on the fact that we were upset and came over to me and quietly said, "JoAnna, I'm sure everything's ok...I bet it was the party, I always upchuck after a party." (We had people over that afternoon after church when Axl was blessed) I thought this was hilarious and was so grateful for his effort to make me feel better! It sure did give us a good laugh!
Time for another break--the boy has gotta eat!
Tyler went deer hunting for the first time with my dad last year. On his first trip he got this nice buck!
As most of you know, the Hamilton's travel to Tar Fork at least twice a year for Conference. These are some pictures from my first Conference Tar Fork Trip as a Hamilton in October 2007.
Minx let me braid her hair--I couldn't believe it!
We LOVE to ride four wheelers, my favorite thing is just driving down the road. I also love Minx's mullet in this picture.
Here we are watching/napping Conference :)

These are the two pictures that remind me I was pregnant during this trip...No skiing per doctors orders so we just rode this coaster thing down the mountain--which despite its obvious lack of coolness compared to skiing was quite fun :)

Before getting married, I had one niece. Upon getting married, I simultaneously gained 6 nieces and nephews. (Since then two more have been added!!)
One of my favorite things to do is spend time with them.
This is a picture of Cabbage when we had a "Peepover" at our house. We took pizza to Uncle Tyler at work, made cookies and homemade gelato, watched a movie and then got up and went to church the next morning!

This is a picture of me and Minx at one of the Family Nights this year. I got to know this little one very well this year as I worked as a Nursery leader.

Introductions
Since I'm getting a late start entering the world of blog, I'll give the readers (if there are any) a little introduction--and have a little fun reminiscing myself!
Tyler and I met at the University of Kentucky in a public speaking class. However, we didn't start dating until about 2 years later when he finally asked me on a real date instead of just a home teaching appointment! :) We dated for a short 84 days and then Tyler proposed-making a day of it! We were married on July 21st, 2007 at the Louisville Temple. Our reception was held at the Sugar Pond--where we hope to someday build a house of our own!
We honeymooned in Orlando, FL for a week and had a GREAT time! We went to amusement parks, cruised around in the convertible and ate LOTS of ice cream!
Upon returning to Kentucky, we moved into our beloved trailer on the same farm as the Sugar Pond. It has served us well this past year and we will be sorry to move in about a week!
We've done so much in the first year of our marriage and it would take a book to cover it all, so here are some pictures of the highlights!
This was the day I went to the temple for the first time
In August, the Hamilton family all went to Las Vegas to celebrate Catherine's 21st birthday! Blue Man Group was my FAVORITE!
Halloween 2007--Tyler and I wore the velour suits he brought home from his mission in Detroit...it was a last minute thing, I guess we were pimps, ha. This picture was taken at the Nicholasville Ward Trunk or Treat.
This is the picture we used for our Christmas cards last year, it was taken at the Cooper family Thanksgiving 2007.
This is the only picture I have of us from the Cooper family Christmas celebration...very attractive, I know.

This is my niece, Madison at her first Christmas celebration...the rocking horse was from Granny and Papaw.
This Christmas, we tried to start some of our own traditions. We woke up, opened lots of presents from Santa Clause, took a great run to the Hamilton's house on Harrodsburg road for breakfast at Cindy's, then came back to the trailer and made donut holes together!
Blogger is getting mad at me for uploading so many photos, so I'm going to give it a break and finish this up sometime soon!
