Big News!

We thought Axl was so cute we might as well have another!

This ultrasound was toward the beginning of October and, of course,
looks absolutely nothing like a baby

I'm now about 12 weeks pregnant and heard the heartbeat at the doctor's office today! We're extremely excited and like I said, if this baby is anything like Axl, we'll be in heaven!

I actually took a positive test on September 9th and the story is funny enough that I want to record it so I won't forget. The night of the 8th I sent a text to Tyler when I was going to bed telling him I thought he should pick up a test on the way home because I was really feeling some symptoms. Tyler is SO anti-test (mostly because he's pretty tight--I married my dad!) that he didn't respond and didn't ever even address the subject when he got home or the next day. So, when I woke up with that undeniable taste in my mouth I decided I would have to get one myself. My alarm goes off at about 5:15 every morning to get ready so I went into super-fast mode in order to stop at Wal-Mart on the way to school. Of course as I was about to leave, I couldn't find my wallet, so I ended up leaving the house at the same time I usually do when I finally found it, but decided it was important enough that I risk being late and just try to hurry. So I literally run in Wal-Mart, run to the pharmacy, grab the tests, run to the soda cooler to pick up a drink and decide I should bring one for my friend as well, and then run to the 1 out of 25 registers open at Nicholasville Wal-Mart at 6:45 in the morning to find a white-haired, elderly man waiting to help me. I awkwardly place the 3-pack (I atleast try to find a good deal--and what if it were positive?? I'd need to double-check atleast!) of tests and two Diet Cokes on the belt. He says, "Looks like someone is in a hurry!" and I reply, "Late again". It wasn't until I was walking to the car that I realized exactly how embarrassed I should be!

Anyway, I took the test in the elementary school bathroom...classy, I know, but I'm a very impatient person! It almost killed me to not call Tyler and tell him but he came home that night to find the "office" we were trying to put together in the house empty except for one plastic tub labeled, "Newborn Stuff". His reply, similar to when I told him about Axl's pregnancy, was "For real?"

And, just for the record, he's still mad I didn't buy the tests at the Dollar Store.
